20th gig at The Giggling Gibbon

10:00 - posted by Rowan Finch

Well I did my longest set yet. A whole 9 mins (4 mins of which was never before tried material). This made me very nervous. Lesson to self - don't introduce so much new material in one go...it puts to much pressure on myself

My first five minutes was the same as before and went down very well. The two tweaks helped - one for the cs spray gag and the other about the Met's black museum.

New material has potential especially the Mills and Boon set. Unfortunately the nerves kicked in and they showed. Never a good look. Next time I'll control them and the new material will go alot better.

New material tried:
- Languages
- Mills and Boon
- Cross-selling

19th gig at The Royal George, Charring X Rd

16:25 - posted by Rowan Finch

On the back of the success from my two previous gigs, I was feeling more confident for this one and it showed in how I welcomed comments from the audience and encouraged more audience participation. Was really pleased with my performance and material:

Star trek - works a treat
Data Analyst - finally works from start to finish thanks to a couple of twecks I did beforehand.
Ryanair stewardess gag - worked well - considering it was its first outing - it has potential.

Thanks Kate for your support (again).
