To mark the 15th anniversary of
Tracey Emin’s seminal work: ‘Everyone I Have Ever Slept With 1963-1995’ (more
commonly known as ‘The Tent’) I shall be sending The Royal Academy my
reactionary piece entitled: ‘Every Tent I Have Ever Slept In 1963-1995’.
Basically it is a sleeping bag containing photos of all the tents I have ever
slept in. I also plan to enter next year’s Turner prize with my Simon Starling
inspired work. (He converted his shed into a boat, which he sailed
down the River Rhine
before turning it back into a shed again, he called it Shed-Boat-Shed). I’m
going to send the Tate a bog standard interior door that I turned into a jar and
then back into a door. I call it ‘A door, a jar, a door’.
